Our Process
At Barton Spector Wealth Strategies, we will work with you to create a customized investment strategy utilizing our “Reality-Based Investing” philosophy. “Reality-Based Investing” is our philosophy and our approach for helping our clients with developing their customized investment plans and portfolios. This philosophy and approach has been a hallmark of our practice for over thirty years.
“Reality-Based Investing” is not an investment model. Rather, it's a way of thinking that is part of the fabric of each member of the Barton Spector Wealth Strategies team. Your strategy will be customized incorporating your risk tolerance, time horizon, and goals.
We start with a comprehensive review of your financial position including your investments, your insurance, your business retirement plans, as well as any other assets and liabilities that you have. After our review and analysis of your entire portfolio, and along with your retirement expense budget and other projected retirement income sources, we develop a “reality-based” investment plan for you.
Our primary objective is to become a lifetime resource to those who have entrusted us with their financial well-being. We offer our services as part of an investment firm with a national reputation, and our client base of affluent individuals, couples and families are not geographically concentrated. We work with clients who live and work in Arizona and in cities and towns across the country.
As part of our overall process, we have established guidelines for how we assist our clients and their families. These include:
- This is your money and we will always remember that. Our job is to make investment recommendations and suggestions that are suitable for you based on your profile.
- We tend to ask a lot of financial questions. The more information we have, the better we can help you.
- If there are ever any costs or expenses involved in any investment that we recommend to you, you will always know those costs and fees up front. Good surprises are better than bad surprises.
- You can count on our conversations to be confidential. However, anything we share with you can be shared with others; feel free to get a second opinion on something that we've said. Just know that we don't share anything outside of our office.
